My first composition was a love song – or was it a failed-love song? – that I entitled «As a Rose». I was scarcely 12 years old, and I fell in love, which is what one must do at this age. The passing of years and distances buried that love. Yet, if it is true that, to a certain extent, we are what we went through as adolescents, that love never died away completely. It is wonderful to retrieve it now and hand it over shrouded in music.
